Job Opportunity Details
Position Title: Unit Head – Quality Assurance (AVP)
Reporting To: Wing Head – Monitoring & Quality Assurance
Location: Karachi
Eligibility Criteria
Educational/Professional Qualifications:
- Minimum Graduation or equivalent qualification from an HEC-recognized local or international university/college/institute.
- Candidates possessing a Master’s degree and/or other relevant professional certifications will be given preference.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of banking experience in Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Customer Due Diligence (CDD), or Trade-Based Money Laundering (TBML).
- Additional experience in Controls/Audit will be preferred.
Other Skills/Expertise Required:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools.
- Leadership qualities to lead teams of reviewers/auditors/QA personnel effectively.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
- Quality Review Supervision:
- Oversee the review of transaction monitoring, KYC/Sanction/TBML alerts conducted by analysts and supervisors.
- Ensure reviews meet internal standards for completeness and compliance.
- Quality Assurance Expertise:
- Act as the subject matter expert in Quality Assurance (QA) for trade-related transactions and testing.
- Supervise analysts and reviewers’ work while drafting reports on QA findings.
- Data Analysis and Feedback:
- Analyze sample-based QA reviews and provide feedback to improve QA processes and outcomes.
- Policy Adherence:
- Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and manuals while reporting all identified gaps for rectification.
- Training and Knowledge Building:
- Build capacity in QA reviews by adding knowledge of trade/money laundering processes.
- Issue Resolution:
- Maintain an ongoing dialogue on MIS to resolve QA issues effectively.
- Oversight and Coordination:
- Manage QA team tasks, collaborate with audit/inspection teams, and assist in AML investigations.
- Planning and Execution:
- Assist in preparing schedules/plans for QA reviews and ensure their timely execution.
- Additional Duties:
- Perform any other assignments as assigned by the supervisor(s).
Employment Details
- Employment Type: Contractual basis for three years, with the possibility of renewal at the discretion of management.
- Compensation: Selected candidates will be offered a competitive compensation package and other benefits as per the bank’s policies.
- Assessment Interviews: Only shortlisted candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will be invited for panel interviews.
